Weather
Looking for some tropical weather?
Playa Blanca lies deep in the tropics, so whenever you come it will be warm. Generally, the dry season starts in late October and extends until June. During that period, there may be a day with a little passing rain and a few more that are overcast, but those are the exception and almost every day is sunny with highs in high 80’s to low 90’s. From October until March the lows at night are generally in the 70’s and the weather is near perfect almost every day. April and May are generally dry and hotter during the night with lows in the high 70’s to 80’s. Those months can also be breezy because the temperature gradient between the ocean and land is larger.
The rainy season usually starts with a few storms in June and July. During August and September, you can expect building clouds during the day leading to torrential downpours and crackling thunder and lightning in the late afternoons and early evenings. An inch of rain in a one-hour storm followed by crystal clear starry skies is common. Days and nights are humid and warm.
